Start a job-specific resume

Job-description matching is more than keyword copying

Good tailoring reflects the employer's priorities while remaining completely truthful. A keyword belongs in your resume only when it accurately describes your experience. Roleo uses match insights, project evidence and document controls to make that distinction visible.

Must-have requirements

Identify qualifications, responsibilities, technologies and seniority signals the employer is likely to assess first.

Evidence mapping

Connect each strengthened statement to supplied resume or project material before it can be accepted.

Right-sized rewriting

Choose a light edit, balanced result or stronger alignment, with a clear page-length policy.

How to tailor a resume to the role

Read for outcomes, not just nouns

Separate must-haves from preferred experience and understand what success in the role looks like.

Find your strongest relevant proof

Use delivered outcomes, decision scope, stakeholder level, technologies and genuine metrics already in your material.

Lead with relevance

Order supported points so a recruiter sees the best fit quickly, without deleting the career context they still need.

Review the whole document

Check facts, tone, repetition, page breaks and whether the result still sounds like you.

Avoid these common mistakes

  • Copying duties you have never performed
  • Adding numbers or outcomes without evidence
  • Stuffing the same keyword into every bullet
  • Changing dates, employers, titles or qualifications
  • Ignoring Word pagination after the rewrite

What Roleo protects

  • The immutable original used for the run
  • Locked facts and recognised direct identifiers
  • Your existing Word structure and formatting runs
  • The length policy you selected
  • A content-free audit trail of stages and outcomes

Job-description tailoring questions

Can Roleo use a project file as well as my resume?

Yes. When a project file is available, Roleo can use relevant verified detail from it to strengthen the application without inventing experience.

Can Roleo add a new heading?

If you allow heading improvements, Roleo may make a justified heading change within the existing Word structure. It does not move, merge or delete whole Word sections.

Can I upload a saved job advertisement?

Yes. Upload a Word, PDF or text file in Step 2. No pasted link or pasted job text is required.
